By Way of People was once People! - that's right, with the exclamation point. This name blossomed on a flight back home from Peru in 2018. Around that time, I had been on a 3-year hiatus from fashion but was itching to return.

After being immersed in such a hands-on culture (Peru), further sparked an existing desire to be in touch with the planet as a creator. The one condition was that whatever was designed had to solve at least one problem in the industry without just the quick coffee "sustainable" label.

I kept brainstorming how to create a unique design solution that wouldn't make me another brand cluttering retail shelves. That is when I realized I kept dealing with so many wardrobe malfunctions such as over and underdressing for weather and occasions. If outerwear catered to such circumstances, why couldn't an everyday staple like knitwear do the same?

I believe that good things take time and so I appreciate anyone who has ended up on this page. Pre-orders can be unbearable in a world of instant gratification, but most times there is something very romantic.

These are photos from the end of 2020 with my many jobs juggling self and the first-ever prototype of the Renaissance Sweater. Despite failed attempts to convince many factories to create this 'seemingly' complicated product, I eventually succeeded.
